RoLE OF THE TOWNS AND MUNICIPALITIES INSIDE OF THE ROMA SOCIAL INCLUSION PROCESS The main aim of the project SUNSHINE FORUM is to bring together organizations that operate in the same fields in order to make new contacts, exchange good practices but also develop new projects and ideas. The programme of the seminar will include issues concerning the Decade of Roma Inclusion with special focus on the crucial role of the towns and municipalities inside of the Roma social inclusion process. The project aims at the preparation and implementation of the International Contact Seminar, witch will provide a sufficiently wide and incentive platform for the exchange of experiences, the presentation of best practice and stimulation of new projects with the international aspect, which ensure a transfer of good experiences as well as an introduction of innovative solutions in the social inclusion of young Roma people process building. The basic structure of the International Contact Workshop is defined within two main parts – the first part will be devoted to a presentation seminar for public as a multilayer platform for experiences presentation, and the second part will consist of the working groups led by experts and facilitators. The project goal – workshop – is to create a platform for the presentation as well as for research and stimulation of the real and concrete solutions within the project activities following the principle of partnership. Generally, the project aim is to facilitate personnel contacts between international organizations and project managers particularly involved and interested in dealing with young Roma people, to present their actual projects and activities, to analyze the situation of Decade of Roma Inclusion context with an emphasis on specifics in particular countries. We would like to focus on the topic The Crucial Role of the Municipalities in Social Inclusion of Young Roma People.
The five-day International Contact Workshop under the title “New Trends and Methodologies in Municipality Role Roma Social Inclusion Involving” will be held in Bratislava and will be divided into 3 working groups: - Activization of Young Roma People at municipal level as a basis of the Roma Social Inclusion
- Youth participation and Decade of Roma Inclusion
- Partnership as a prerequisite for a new action in 3 basic fields: education, health and employment
International Contact Seminar will consist of two parts:
- Presentation seminar open to the public and experts
- Expert working groups
The presentation seminar will be divided into two parts: the first part will include themes presented by representatives from the national and local level, NGOs, professional trainers, project managers and expert directly involved in projects dealing with active citizenship, community development and regional schools looking to enhance their knowledge and build new partnerships; the second part will include project presentations presented by representatives from the European local governments as well as the organizations.
